eSATAp, or Power over eSATA, in computing is a high speed connection for external storage devices. It is a combination of serial port connectors into which an eSATAp, eSATA or USB devices can be plugged. The port has keyed cutouts for both types of device to ensure that a connector can only be plugged in the right way round.

eSATAp combines eSATA performance with USB ease in a single connector that eliminates the need to carry a power adapter in some scenarios and keeps limited USB ports free to attach other peripherals. Only for newer computers equipped with an eSATAp port, this adapter connects and permits simultaneous use of eSATA and USB devices with data transfer eSATA speeds up to 3 Gbps and Hi-Speed USB speeds up to 480 Mbps.
